The Materials and Products Collection is a collection of new and innovative materials that represent current trends in design and manufacturing. If you have a question about the collection or would like materials advice, visit The Materials Clinic on the 2nd floor of the CSM Library, open to all current UAL degree or research students.
20-minute one-to-one sessions with Margaret Pope and Jess Lertvilai are bookable on the day:
Tuesday 22nd January, 10am-1pm, 2pm-5pm
Please book your slot on the day by visiting the collection at 10am (to choose a morning timeslot) or 2pm (to choose an afternoon timeslot).
Slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please feel free to bring any sketches, models, drawings, and/or research relevant to your question with you. Margaret and/or Jess will discuss these with you to help direct your material research.
Margaret Pope sources materials and products for designers and architects. She has set up and managed many material libraries in Colleges and Universities. She is a consultant to international design and architectural practices including Rick Mather Architects & Pentagram amongst others. Margaret also regularly gives talks to design students and sits on various panels discussing new materials.
